Analysis and Comparison of Daylighting Technologies: Light Pipe, Optical Fiber, and Heliostat

This article analyzes and compares three daylighting technologies: light pipes, optical fibers, heliostats. work aims to evaluate their efficiency, sustainability, cost-effectiveness in providing natural indoor spaces. The analysis includes a review of the principles behind each technology, design development prototypes experiments carried out by our research team, advantages disadvantages, applications different settings. comparison is based on several criteria, such as installation, cost, output spectrum, hybrid system. results indicate that technology has its unique features suited specific applications. Light pipes are effective for short distances, they can be easily integrated into existing buildings. Optical fibers suitable long distances offer flexibility design, but require more maintenance. Heliostats ideal large spaces, expensive install operate.
